Definition

A vector refers vector-valued quantity that a quantity having both magnitude(size) & direction.

Vector-Valued Quantity

Quantities having or possessing both magnitude & direction are called “vector-valued quantity”.

• Force
  • Shows how a force pushes or pulls an object
  • Strength (magnitude) & direction it moves in.
• Displacement
  • The change in position of an object
  • How far(magnitude) & what direction.
• Velocity
  • Speed (magnitude) & direction of an object's motion.
